Facilitates the efficiency of the Operating Room by performing a variety of duties associated with the care of surgical patients, as designated by the Operating Room Manager. Day shift 7:00 AM -3:30 PM some flex Monday-Friday Job Description: Essential Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to): 1. Transports patients, including those who have received preoperative medication, to and from the Operating Room. 2. Provides supportive conversation to preoperative patients. 3. Observes and report unusual findings or changes in patient conditions to the responsible nurse. 4. Participates in the positioning of anesthetized and non-anesthetized patients. 5. Performs simple treatments and other routine duties of preoperative care, including shave preps of the surgical site. 6. Participates in providing a safe, aseptic, and orderly environment for patients in the Operating Room. 7. Handles simple/complex Operating Room equipment.
