Job Details Reporting to the Pharmacy Tech Supervisor and the direct supervision by staff pharmacists, the Pharmacy Technician assists in the preparation and filling of all medications necessary for inpatient and outpatient services. Support all department initiatives and daily workflow by ensuring that the proper medication and tools are available for the clinical team and patients. Job Description: Essential Functions: - Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. - Prepares drug orders from Physicians for review and dispensing by a Registered Pharmacist. - Replenishes all Pyxis machines. Monitors and record refrigerator temperatures when filling, and documents corrective action taken if needed. Informs Pharmacy Manager of any ongoing issues. - Counts, compounds and repackages pharmaceuticals using established procedures. - Medication dispensing and distribution to patient areas, Reorder and Restock of pharmacy inventory, restock inventory in department and nursing unit and restocks returns, evaluates stock for expired medications, Performs necessary monitoring and documentation. - Performs various billing/ crediting functions to...
