Contributes to the Hospital’s mission to care, heal and to excel in service to our community by restocking medication, including controlled substances, to patient care units. This clinical staff position will have an impact on improving safety and quality of our patients by keeping the Pyxis medication stations updated to ensure proper and timely medication distribution. Job Description: QUALIFICATIONS Education Required: High school diploma or G.E.D Experience Preferred: At least one year as a certified pharmacy technician LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS: License Required: Pharmacy Technician National Certification and Pharmacy Technician JOB FUNCTIONS: Providing support to the patient care team assisting in medication dispensing. Restocks clinical unit automated medication dispensing station by visiting assigned patient. Prepares I.V. antibiotics and compound admixtures by injecting medications into large volume solutions under the direction of the pharmacist.
