THE ROLE: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) A Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing a full range of laboratory testing and reporting laboratory findings to physicians. The skills requirements for a Medical Technician I include: Occupational Specific, Technical Skills, Personal and Professional. AHA's MLT must meet the personnel responsibilities per CLIA Sec. 493.1495: Standard Testing personnel responsibilities. As AHA's MLT, you will be expected to follow the laboratory’s procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results.
