Job description

Summary: Under the direction of the Operations Team Lead, the Utility Operator is responsible for supporting production and performing general cleaning and other tasks as assigned. Competencies: - Comply with safety policies and practices and participate in the plant Safety Program. - Maintain a safe work environment for self and all team members and equipment through daily 5S, housekeeping activities, vehicle safety checks and report all unsafe acts or conditions. - Ability to work any shift including 12-hour shifts, weekend shifts, holidays, maintenance days, etc. - Provide accurate reporting of safety, quality, production, and efficiency. - Work with team members to make recommendations for process improvements. - Operate and/or work around highly automated systems including robotic equipment. - Complete daily, weekly and monthly maintenance and housekeeping tasks on the bailer and receiving dock. - Manage recycling streams for 2-Piece and 3-Piece departments to include generating BOLs for scrap pickups as needed. - Clean a variety of machines and equipment, ranging from large stationary equipment to small mobile equipment. - Shall understand the Food Safety Policy, GMP’s, HACCP...
