The council is looking for experienced staff to support the sensitive task of collecting and transporting loved ones. When a death occurs in the community a number of services are involved. One such service is provided by the council which involves collecting a patient and ensuring families are informed of how loved ones are to be cared for until collected by a funeral director from a council facility or hospital. In this crucial role, you will assist with collection of patients from a range of scenarios and locations, which sometimes may be distressing, from the North of the County. Further responsibilities include supporting with administration and the processing of the deceased in line with strict legislation and follow process for chain of custody, paperwork and deceased identification.
