Job Summary The Mechanical Design Manager is responsible for leading a team of mechanical design engineers in the development, execution, and support of mechanical designs for electrical switchgear and power distribution products. This role combines people leadership, technical oversight, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure engineering deliverables meet Vertiv standards for quality, safety, cost, schedule, and customer expectations. The position supports Engineered-to-Order (ETO) programs and plays a key role in driving standardized engineering cycle times, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement aligned with Vertiv’s strategic priorities. Key Responsibilities: People Leadership: - Lead, manage, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical design engineers. - Establish clear objectives, priorities, and performance expectations aligned with business needs and departmental KPIs. - Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and support employee development, engagement, and retention. - Promote accountability, teamwork, and a high-performance culture aligned with Vertiv behaviors and values.
