Job description

QUALIFICATIONS: - Degree from accredited 4 yr or 2 yr college and completion of an accredited Medical Technology Program, or Medical Laboratory Technician program. - Must be currently registered or eligible for registration as a Medical Technologist, Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP preferred). If eligible for registration, you must pass the exam within the first year employed. - Two years of previous phlebotomy experience on patients ranging in age from neonate to geriatric and analytical specimen processing experience in a hospital clinical laboratory setting. - Flexibility in work arrangements, you may be asked to perform the same task for an extended period or to perform different tasks on the same day. - Ability to work with other people at the laboratory bench. - Familiarity with Microsoft office software, computer typing skills, and Epic LIS preferred. - Ability to work unsupervised during callback times or other hours as assigned. - Must maintain current BLS certification OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE: Category III: RESPONSIBILITIES: - Draws blood, processes specimens, and reports test results to ordering physician or other care provider. - Prepa...
