Job description
Assist with research, particularly database management, data analysis, and field data collection for a project funded by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to conduct multistate monitoring and research on tidal marsh birds and their habitat from Maine to Virginia. This temporary position pays $21.00/hr. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The person in this position will assist with research, particularly field data collection on tidal marsh birds in Maine, including mist-netting, banding, morphometric measurements, and vegetation surveying. The person in this position will also manage the associated data and communicate the results of their work with collaborators. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supervisory Responsibility: The incumbent will be responsible for supervising student technicians during field work, subject to review. Work Environment: Normal University of Maine business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Work may be performed in an office or field site.
