Job Description The Role: As a member of the GM semiconductor purchasing team, you will be part of developing a strong semiconductor supply chain to support our fast-growing electronics & software needs. Specifically, you will be responsible for a particular semicategory category and actively leading the development of commodity strategies, sourcing/negotiations, budget, and execution. You will manage relationships, collaborate with suppliers and internal key stakeholders including engineering, legal, finance, operations and drive cross-functional alignment. Work is of a complex nature involving a considerable amount of initiative, analytical work and a high level of independent judgment. What You’ll Do: Develop and execute purchasing strategies based on business, market, and technology trends and establish strong and competitive supply base Responsible for purchase of all or a specific portion of productive and/or non-productive materials, supplies, machinery, tooling and/or services Negotiate price, terms, and other items to complete full contract package Optimize supply performance by analyzing and applying appropriate tools including benchmarking, cost and value chain analysis,...
