Responsibilities: Competently performs stereotactic procedures and/or performs QC related to mammography including required documentation. Performs all types of mammography imaging to include needle localization, lymph node injections and ductograms. May assist physician with biopsy and aspiration procedures, practicing sterile technique as required. Sets up sterile trays with all supplies and instruments required for procedures. Performs bone densitometry. Understands and performs within the guidelines of all pertinent regulatory agencies (ACR/FDA). Evaluates images for abnormalities and identifies areas requiring additional imaging in conjunction with the Radiologist. Communicates with and follows direction of the Radiologist.
