Job description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Amery Hospital & Clinic's Emergency Department provides care in the outpatient setting aimed toward meeting both the psychosocial and physical needs of the patient. The RN also employs the use of evidence-based information to achieve and ensure patient safety and quality of care while assisting to improve patient outcomes. Duties include: Work Schedule: .65 FTE/26 hours weekly, 12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:00), with every 3rd weekend rotation. Required Qualifications: - Understanding of triage process; ability to make quick and accurate assessments of incoming patients, including both physical and mental health problems through application of Emergency Severity Index (ESI) acuity. - Consulting other departments and other health care team members, patient and family members as appropriate to provide for an interdisciplinary approach to the patient’s needs and continuity of patient care. - Demonstrating ability to assist physicians with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills. - Demonstrating appropriate nursing interventions such as identifying and clarifying patient needs, performing procedures, conducting health educa...
