Summary of Performance Expectations Assist manager with Point of Care Testing program with Catawba Valley Medical Group (CVMG) for the CLIA waived/non waived laboratories. Promotes a professional patient-centered practice image by efficiently performing routine tests using standard techniques and equipment in such areas as hematology and chemistry under the direct supervision of a licensed physician or licensed mid-level provider and the CVMC laboratory. Serve as a network laboratory trainer and liaison for POCT processes, practice on-site inspections and yearly training. Utilizes a team based approach to all tasks. Education and Credentials: Required: High School diploma or equivalent. BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required within three months of employment date. Preferred: Phlebotomy certified (ASPT): Work Experience: Required: Two years’ clinical lab experience in a CLIA complexity laboratory required. Use of EHR (Electronic Health Record). Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
