Glazing Mechanic

Job description

The Glazing Mechanic is responsible for the professional installation of glass and aluminum systems on a variety of building types. This includes curtain walls, storefronts, windows, doors, and other glazing systems. The role demands precision, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship. The Mechanic will work independently and as part of a team under the direction of the Lead Mechanic or Foreman. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Installation of Exterior & Interior glass panels, aluminum framing, doors, and hardware systems per project specifications. - Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders to determine layout and installation procedures. - Load and unload materials and equipment; transport items to designated areas on-site. - Take accurate field measurements and verify field conditions before the installation process begins. - Ensure all materials are securely anchored and aligned, ensuring water-tight and structurally sound installations. - Handle glass safely, using proper equipment such as suction cups, lifts, or cranes when needed. - Maintain tools and equipment in clean and working conditions, report issue...
