We have an opportunity for a B3 Senior Policy Officer to join the Onshore Electricity Policy Unit on a temporary basis for 5 months to support delivery of policy and removing barriers to deploying onshore renewables such as onshore wind, bioenergy and solar . This is an ideal development opportunity for someone looking to broaden their experience in shaping Scotland’s renewable energy future and accelerate the transition to net zero. The Division is responsible for the Scottish Government’s approach to onshore renewables, working across high-profile policy areas including onshore wind, battery storage, markets and networks, and supporting ambitions on community energy and community benefit. The Low Carbon Electricity Policy Team sets policy and removes barriers to deploying onshore renewables such as onshore wind, bioenergy and solar.
