Compensation Range $29.30 - $38.10 Job Description Summary: Operate construction equipment for routine maintenance and reconstruction tasks on county gravel roads in the Rockport area. This position will report directly to Rockport. Job Description: Field Work - 80%: - Must be proficient in the operation of a motor grader and have a good working knowledge of a wide variety of heavy equipment used in gravel road maintenance and snow removal. - Operate heavy and light construction or road maintenance equipment. - Must have a thorough knowledge of gravel road maintenance procedures. - Must be able to perform work without direction or immediate supervision and follow detailed instruction to aid in the efficient and effective completion of the project or assigned task. - Must perform work in a courteous and safe manner. - Must be able to effectively communicate verbally through radio. - •When contact with the public is required, the employee must maintain a courteous, helpful attitude.
