Classification Title: Large Animal Hospital Veterinary Treatment Technician I/II (CARE) Classification Minimum Requirements: Classification Minimum Requirements are the baseline requirements for Staff Titles and Academic Titles found at the University of Florida. Large Animal Hospital Veterinary Treatment Technician 1: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses or one year of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses in a veterinary academic teaching hospital. Large Animal Hospital Veterinary Treatment Technician 2: High school diploma or equivalent; four years of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses or two years of experience loading, unloading, restraining, handling and treating horses in a veterinary academic teaching hospital; and certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technician.
