Department: Inpatient Hospice: Shift/schedule: Part Time (16 hrs/wk), Varied Shift GENERAL SUMMARY: Works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager of Hospice Inpatient . The RN's primary job function is to identify patient/family needs and provide supportive care in accordance with the attending physician's order, the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care, and the Hospice concept and philosophy of care by rendering professional skilled nursing care in the facility. Performs other duties as assigned. Education: Licensure: Experience: - High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required - Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with the minimum of an Associate's Degree required - Knowledge of nursing theory and practice required - RN(OH) required - BLS within 90 days of hire required - Approximately two years as a Registered Nurse with experience working with terminally ill patients preferred.
