The role As part of Opera Australia’s Technical division, the Fly’s Supervisor plays a key role in delivering safe and efficient fly floor operations across productions. Working closely with the Head of Flys and Head Mechanist, this position ensures the highest standards of rigging, stagecraft and technical execution are maintained. Focus areas: consumables, hardware and materials required for the effective running and maintenance of the productions team - Supervise the implementation of OA's operational procedures for the fly floor - Oversee operation and maintenance of stage machinery and equipment - Coordinate changeovers, act changes, and other production staging tasks - Apply theatrical rigging techniques as required - Interpret and apply technical drawings and ground plans - Demonstrate proficiency in carpentry, metal fabrication, and use of tools - Work independently and collaborate with other technical departments when needed - Assist the Head of Flys in the daily running of the team - General admin duties, including but not limited to purchase, record, maintain relevant About you: advantage) tools Click apply to submit your CV and cover letter.
