Job Summary: Responsible for being knowledgeable of the geographical area assigned and operates the vehicle within state/federal statutes and/or guidelines. Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public. Acquires pick-up tickets and completes route in the most efficient manner. Load donations on the truck in the most organized manner to allow as many pickups as possible on each truck load and to minimize damage/breakage. Clean and secure the vehicle and equipment; conduct daily inspections of the vehicle’s oil, water, tires, and other items of the vehicle to maintain good operating condition.
