H2M architects + engineers, a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, environmental consulting firm in Melville, NY seeks a Coatings Inspector for construction-related and regular maintenance of water storage tanks. Job Responsibilities: - Perform observations in accordance with the techniques and procedures outlined by the company, industry and certification held. - Meet with and observe and record contractors’ activities at various project sites as required. - Regularly climb elevated tower/ladder +/-200’ elevation and utilize safety equipment throughout tank observation operations. - Observe details of work performed by others, document results, and obtain photographic documentation of work product. - Prepare written observation reports in accordance with H2M standards - Determine and ensure compliance with technical documents and industry specific standards and codes and report back on the same. - Review and download field data into laptop computer and transfer to company server in accordance with standards outlined. - Prepare detailed daily job reports and discuss projects with supervisor on a daily basis. - Perform other like duties as assigned in office or field.
