The Patient Care Technician (PCT) delivers high-quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN), the PCT assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the needs of the Department and consistently supports the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment. JOB DUTIES: The Patient Care Technician (PCT) assumes other responsibilities as assigned. - Deliver great patient care with compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families - Answer patient calls and determine how best to help them - Obtain a wide range of information from practitioners, caregivers, and nurses about patient condition, treatment plans, and suggested activities, including plan of care - Provide physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing, or exercising - Turning and repositioning bedridden patients - Ensuring patients receive an appropriate di...
