Day (United States of America) Manager - Technical Accounting The Manager of Technical Accounting serves as the organization’s subject matter expert on complex accounting matters, authoritative guidance, and financial reporting issues impacting a governmental healthcare organization. This role is responsible for researching, interpreting, and applying GASB accounting standards, supporting accurate and compliant financial reporting, and advising leadership on the accounting implications of contracts, transactions, and strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Technical Accounting & Policy: - Research, interpret, and document the application of GASB pronouncements, implementation guidance, and other authoritative literature - Lead the organization’s implementation of new or revised accounting standards, including: - Leases (GASB 87) - Subscription‑Based IT Arrangements (GASB 96) - Grants, governmental funding, and public‑private partnership arrangements - Develop, maintain, and update accounting policies, technical memos, and white papers with clear conclusions and authoritative citations - Assess accounting implications of new transactions, programs, contracts, and business initi...
