Description Join the inaugural faculty cohort at Vanderbilt University’s new College of Connected Computing. Become part of the community whose vision is to build a transformative college dedicated to computer science, AI, data science, and related fields. We have opened three full-time Professor of the Practice faculty positions. We are seeking well-qualified applicants at all ranks to join our 13 current teaching professors and over 30 tenure and tenure-track faculty in building and supporting this vision. Candidates with a background in computer science or a closely related field are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates from all areas of specialization will be considered, with particular interest in both Applied Artificial Intelligence, and technical foundations of AI. As a member of our growing department in the new college, teaching faculty will enjoy a 2/3 teaching load. Our average class size is 45 students with over 20 courses having 35 or fewer students. Faculty are well supported by TA’s and undergraduate graders.
