Job description
Position Summary: The Chief of Security (COSEC), reporting to the Chief Facilities Officer, leads all elements of the Security Department for all campuses at an executive level of responsibility in order to protect the lives, assets, and property of the University and its employees, students, and visitors, which includes training, loss prevention, auditing, corrective action, and implementing investigations/interrogations. The COSEC will be responsible for the security strategy and security initiatives. The COSEC will also be responsible for mandated Cleary reporting and managing the application and implementation of security grants. Position Responsibilities: - Establish the standards, operating procedures, staffing protocols, security posts, and physical security of all buildings on all campuses of the University, on- and official off-campus events, and official University-supported travel, when needed and where applicable. - Develop, manage, and track/maintain the budget for the Security Department. - Manage training and drills for security staff, University employees, University staff, and students. - The COSEC will lead security awareness programs and training initiatives to e...
