Department Summary The Department of Art and Art History, established in 1911, offers BA, BFA, MA, and MFA degrees and is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). Brief Description of Duties: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching upper-division undergraduate survey courses, focusing on the History of Contemporary and New Media Art since 1960. Additionally, part-time faculty members may teach lower-division General Education courses in Art History and Visual Culture. The successful candidate will contribute to a dynamic department that encourages cross-disciplinary practice between studio art and contemporary art criticism.
