JOB DESCRIPTION: The Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) is seeking to incorporate a Research Technician to work on the project ‘ ACROMICS: next-generation precision medicine in the diagnosis and treatment of Acromegaly ’ PMP22/00021, funded by Carlos III Health Institute. The Research Technician will participate in a Research Project in Personalized and Precision Medicine whose main objective is to implement a personalized algorithm for the precise stratification of patients with acromegaly (a rare disease caused by a pituitary tumor) and decision-making for treatment. This entirely translational research project aims to offer solutions for patients and clinicians. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: - Collection and processing of biological samples. - Establishment of primary cell cultures from pituitary tumor samples. - Validation of identified biomarkers using techniques such as PCR, RT‑qPCR, and pyrosequencing. - Support in the management and organization of clinical data.
