As an Engineer I at Minnesota Power, you’ll gain hands-on experience working on generation and capital projects, collaborate with experienced engineers and project teams, and build the skills needed for long-term growth in the electric utility industry. What You’ll Do: - Support the planning, design, and delivery of energy-related projects from initial concept through construction and closeout. - Assist with engineering design, analysis, and project coordination for generation facilities (thermal, hydro, wind, solar, energy storage), substations, and office facilities. - Contribute to small-scale projects by coordinating with internal teams and external consultants and contractors, with guidance from experienced engineers and project managers. - Help manage project scope, schedules, budgets, documentation, and change control to support successful project outcomes. - Participate on project and technical teams, gaining experience in engineering best practices and project execution while providing technical input as assigned. - Support construction and commissioni...
