Research Assistant

Job description

Under general supervision, provides routine technical assistance in performing assigned and delegated tasks in support of research projects. Responsibilities include assisting or conducting a variety of scientific experiments and research projects of limited complexity, collecting, evaluating and interpreting data for clinical and diagnostic research. Note: Weekend and holiday work required. A cover letter and references must be submitted for consideration. EDUCATION: EXPERIENCE: - Conducts behavioral experiments, which include handling and caring for animals, administration of test substances, and collection of data. - All experiments are done using approved IACP Protocols which the applicant will assist in developing. - Performs assigned technical duties in a research lab setting, including handling and analyzing data, preparation of solutions, and setup and maintenance of equipment. - Carries out general laboratory maintenance. - Performs all other duties as assigned. - Attention to detail by achieving thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved. - Ability to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle em...
