Job description

Works with Research to drive operate a mobile research unit. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: Drives a BTNRH vehicle towing a 30-foot gooseneck trailer carrying research equipment to and from designated locations. Completes pre-and post-trip vehicle and trailer inspections, conducts inventory checks before removing the truck and trailer from the given site, and maintains an accurate driving log. Communicates with Research to coordinate trailer delivery and setup. Delivers and sets up the trailer promptly, avoiding delays. Secures trailer for use, including leveling the trailer and ensuring generator function. Coordinates with Research and/or Facilities to schedule and adhere to maintenance requirements for the truck and trailer and addresses any technical or mechanical issues for the truck and trailer in a timely manner considering the severity of the issue. Builds relationships with researchers and community partners to promote a welcoming and safe environment for all, including BTNRH staff, community partners, and community members at large.
