Statistical Analyst - Pricing and Analytics

Job description

Under limited supervision and with significant independent judgment, researches, analyzes and develops analytical models to support our vision to be the insurer of choice. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Responsible for research, analyzes and development of predictive models in support of our company objectives. 2. Collect, organize, and analyze a wide variety of data to support modeling work and to answer business model questions. 3. Program for data analysis and data preparation. 4. Build predictive and forecasting models and evaluate results. 5. Apply a variety of modern analytics (e.g., Generalized Linear Modeling, Data Mining, Predictive Models), to develop/refine class plans and rating algorithms for personal and commercial lines of business. 6. Develop reports in R, SAS, SQL, Business Objects or equivalent using internal data warehouses and where possible external data sources. 7. Assist in the development and execution of pricing and reserving projects. 8. Write reports and create presentations for analytical projects. 9.
