Join our team as a Design Intern at the Grand Rapids Converting Plant, where you will gain hands-on experience in the design aspects of our operations. This is an exciting opportunity to learn from industry professionals and contribute to innovative packaging solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the Designer and design team to support ongoing projects. - Assist in specifying and designing boxes tailored to client needs. - Operate the CAD table to create and modify designs. - Complete Design Request Quotations (DRQs) accurately and efficiently. - Gain an understanding of different board grades and their applications in packaging. - Learn the basics of routing and machinery used in the converting process. - Design marketing leave-behinds to support sales efforts. - Develop foundational skills in graphic design relevant to packaging. - Explore various box styles and their functional uses in different industries. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Be enrolled in college education or heavy college coursework in the field of drafting, design, and engineering. Good communicator with customers and sales staff.
