Overview The Touro University Graduate School of Jewish Studies is seeking candidates for the position of Associate Dean and Associate or Full Professor of Jewish Studies with an open specialization. Ideal candidates will have had meaningful administrative experience in higher education, and have made a significant contribution to the field, as evidenced by publications and lectures at academic conferences. They must also demonstrate promise of an ongoing and very active research program. Candidates will possess excellent teaching skills, and the ability to mentor doctoral level research and doctoral dissertations. Responsibilities: - Teach three courses per annum, generally in a hybrid format - Maintain active research program - Mentor and evaluate student Comprehensive Examinations, MA theses and PhD dissertations - Student advisement - Assist in recruiting new students - Assist in course scheduling, academic planning and curriculum development - Service on committees in support of the Graduate School of Jewish Studies and on university-wide committees - Participate in program events, such as conferences and commencement - Build, strengthen and support community relations - Other...
