Job Description Summary The Lead Commodity Specialist Logistics is responsible for leading and executing strategic sourcing activities for the Logistics spend with the goal of achieving significant initial cost reductions and year-over-year continuous improvement while maintaining or improving product quality and supplier service levels. This includes working with the Global Sourcing Leader Logistics and the Gas Power Logistics organization to develop strategies to reduce total cost of ownership – including carrier management, warehousing, and governance/compliance. The Lead Commodity Specialist will partner with functional stakeholders in Business Sourcing, Supply Chain, Operations, and other groups to identify sourcing needs, determine supplier and demand management strategies, execute sourcing events, and drive organizational processes and compliance.
