$5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS FOR I/DD PROGRAMS IN BROOKLYN: POSITION OVERVIEW: A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for LPN nursing care and medical procedures within the scope of the nursing practice. Assist in the integration of physical and behavioral health in program. The LPN reports to the RN and or Nursing Leadership. KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: In line with doctor’s orders, administer prescribed and/or routine medical treatments. Ensure that all internal policies regarding such administration and documentation are adhered to. Completes all other tasks within the scope of an LPN NYS license requested by the RN and or Nursing leadership. - Assist with scheduling appointments and obtaining medical documentation prior to the client’s appointments. - Function as the liaison between external medical health care providers, schools, other community organizations and the facility with regards to the client’s medical needs. - Provide general nursing care to clients within the scope of LPN practice, which include but are not limited to; - Take and record client's vital signs. - Administer prescribed/specified mediation and note time and amount on client's chart. - Observe clients and...
