Laboratory Technical Assistant

Job description

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY : Perform routine laboratory support tasks including washing of hair samples, sample handling and organization, instrument maintenance, and general laboratory assistant duties to support Hair Lab operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Perform other duties as assigned. - Wash and prepare hair samples according to established procedures. - Sort, organize, and store incoming and processed hair samples in accordance with laboratory protocols. - Maintain accurate tracking and labeling of samples to ensure proper identification and chain of custody. - Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on laboratory instruments and equipment. - Assist with basic troubleshooting and report instrument or process issues to leadership. - Support laboratory workflow by preparing materials and supplies needed for testing. - Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory of laboratory supplies. - Perform general laboratory aide duties, including cleaning work areas and washing laboratory glassware or tools as needed. - Unpack, stock, and organize laboratory supplies and reagents. - Comply with all company, departmental, and regulatory SOPs, including safety and OSHA req...
