UNIT PROFILE: St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton’s Charlton Campus has the busiest emergency department in Hamilton, with greater than 60,000 Emergency Room visits per year. The Emergency Department provides early access to care for patients from a widespread area extending from the Haldimand-Norfolk region to the Niagara Peninsula. We are dedicated to providing the best care for patients and any time and committed to serving the most marginalized and needy members of our community. Full Time Support positions will be utilized to cover maternity leaves, medical leaves and other long-term leaves. The incumbent may be assigned to cover longer term or shorter term/episodic needs within the unit. POSITION SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse (RN) is a regulated health care professional who adheres to and models the Standards and Guidelines of the College of Nurses of Ontario; the SJHH mission, vision and values, policies and procedures; and applicable specialty standards.
