POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing administrative support (including accounting tasks) for the Manager/Professional Practice Leader of the Audiology and Retail Audiology Services. Requiring interactions, resolving issues and responding to inquiries with patients, and the scheduling of ENT/Residency program patients for the Audiology service (ENG). Services provided by the department of Audiology are coordinated to ensure effective liaison with patients, physician offices, community agencies and other hospital departments. This position provides coverage to the departments and programs within the Director's Portfolio when necessary. QUALIFICATIONS: - Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent with a 2-year diploma in medical and/or office administration - Medical terminology certificate - 1-year experience working in or supporting a therapeutics department in a hospital setting (Audiology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work, Speech-Language Pathology) and an inpatient clinical program - Intermediate skill level in a variety of computer applications and equipment: MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint - Accurate keyboarding skills of 55wpm, advanced le...
