Job DetailsJob Location: 350 HARBOR DRIVE - DULUTH, MN 55802Salary Range: $17.00 - $17.00 Hourly Title: Blue Bridge Operator Hourly Wage: $17.00 Summary/Objective: Operate the Blue Bridge, located in a high traffic area of canal park, in a safe, effective and positive manner. Requirements & Competencies: There are no minimum education requirements for this position. Must be at least 18 years old. Respond courteously and promptly to customer needs. Ability to ensure a high level of customer service. Ability to adapt to changes, delays, or unexpected events. Ability to sit in enclosed space for hours at a time. Essential Functions (Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.) Uses control panel to perform Blue Bridge operations. Signal boats and pedestrians when bridge is being raised. Communicate with boat captains, as needed, via a VHF marine radio. Open and close safety gate any time the bridge is in operation. Positively represent Duluth when supplying information to pedestrians such as locations of attractions, restaurants and facilities. Be very familiar with events and times at the DECC, William A.
