The goal of GTAR is to design and conduct research across multiple frontier technologies, in order to enable novel discoveries and inventions, and to inform and develop next-generation solutions for the firm’s clients and businesses. As a Quantum Computing Research Scientist within The Global Technology Applied Research (GTAR), you will develop and scale up high-performance numerical methods to advance the study of quantum algorithms, quantum cryptography, and quantum compilation. Job responsibilities: Drive a research agenda using numerical methods to advance quantum computing Lead the development of numerical methods for exact and approximate simulation of quantum circuits and dynamics of quantum systems Scale up numerical methods on HPC clusters and supercomputers Perform large-scale simulations and document the results in scientific papers.
