SUMMARY: The Pediatric Neurologist will provide clinical care to children with conditions of a wide range of neurological disorders including seizures, headaches, migraines, tics/tourette’s, concussion, developmental delays, neuromuscular issues, attention/focus issues, syncope, and spells of abnormal behavior. The clinical focus will be in the ambulatory setting however may provide inpatient consultations. The Pediatric Neurologist is accountable for delivering comprehensive quality patient care according to standards of practice for children from birth through adolescence. The Neurologist functions as a member of an inter-disciplinary team within an integrated academic model. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Assess, evaluate, diagnose and treat pediatric patients. Performs and/or orders clinically appropriate procedures for each patient. Analyze medical histories, diagnostic lab test and x-ray results, clinical examinations and perform physical examinations in formulating a diagnosis, plan of care and documenting in conformity with applicable professional standards, third party payer requirements and the Division’s policies and procedures.
