Job description

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Counsel to join our Commercial Law Group. This role is located in London or Manchester. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: Structuring, drafting, and negotiating a broad range of vendor agreements, with a particular focus on market data and technology‑related contracts. Acting as a key legal advisor on BNY’s market data strategy, partnering with stakeholders across the business, Legal, and sourcing teams to help shape and support strategic direction. Partnering with internal and external stakeholders to support governance, sourcing, and risk management activities in connection with market data procurement and other vendor relationships. Keeping up to date with developments in market data licensing practices, regulatory expectations, and industry trends, and assisting with corresponding updates to documentation, processes, and approaches. To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: Qualified lawyer with a legal degree and 5+ years of post-qualification experience, ideally gained at a leading law firm or financial institution.
