It’s the way you want to be treated. Position Summary : Report directly to the Reimbursement/Coding Manager and serve as a subject matter expert for the coding staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Daily supervision, prioritization, and coordination of workflow activities to ensure accurate and timely coding of all charts. - Act as point person for resolution of all inpatient chart backlogs and issues. - Perform coding audits to ensure quality metrics are being met as well as identify opportunities for coding education to staff. - Perform productivity audits to ensure metrics are being met. - Research and answer inpatient coder’s questions using official coding guidelines and the use of 3M references. - Assist with the appeals review process to ensure timely denial response as well as the appropriateness of appeal response. - Coordinate coder training to ensure all staff are up to date on Coding Guidelines as well as code updates. - Interact dail...
