Job Title: Machine Operator Department: Manufacturing: Reports to: Production Supervisor: Classification: Non-Exempt: Location: Welland, ON: Travel: None: Job Summary: The Machine Operator will work within our Blanching Department and other various manual machines to produce premium quality, high precision , and cutting tools . Will verify accuracy by using engineering prints, component drawings, assembly drawings, and engineering specifications . Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for the setup and offsets as required . Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances for finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements . Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications. Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and material on machines such as mills, lathes, grinders and shapers. Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors and speed, feed, depth, and angle cut. Check machinery on a daily basis to ensure functionality. Other duties assigned .
