Job description
Position Function: The ICU technician position provides primary care to all emergency patients and advanced care for critical patients of the Animal Health Center (AHC) along with support for hospitalized patients. Though legally limited to providing patient care except for diagnosing, prescribing, or performing surgery; these vital technicians are responsible for executing the wishes of the veterinary medical doctor team and monitoring patient response. In addition to these supporting roles, ICU technicians provide instruction for the professional DVM veterinary students, as well as Bachelor's degree Veterinary Medical Technology students. Salary Grade : 12: Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges. For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department.
