DIS-TRAN Steel is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to join our team this summer. This internship offers hands-on experience in core accounting functions, with a strong focus on Accounts Payable processing and financial operations . The intern will work closely with the accounting team and gain exposure to how accounting supports daily manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities: - Assist with Accounts Payable processing , including invoice review, general ledger coding, and three-way matching (purchase order, receipt, and invoice). - Learn and support the cash flow cycle , including the benefits of early payment discounts. - Prepare and post journal entries . - Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness. - Assist with month-end close activities . - Communicate and collaborate with internal departments such as Purchasing, Receiving, HR, Plant Su...
