We currently have a full-time opportunity for a Fresh Produce Inspector to join our team based in Surrey, BC. Our Retail Support Centre is open 7 days a week and this position will work 5 shifts comprised of weeknights and weekends from 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Here’s where you’ll be focusing: As the Fresh Produce Inspector you will: - Inspect inbound product according to established Standard Operating Procedures and specifications which includes random sampling and defect identification - Reject and document product that does not meet specifications - Monitor RSC handling and storage procedures in conjunction with RSC Management (i.e. cold chain management and slotting) - Verify weight, temperature, size, pressure test, refractometer test, package and pallet integrity of product - Identify superior quality of product and communicate to replenishment - Inspect and ripen bananas and avocados (as applicable) - Verify calibration of testing equipme...
