Description The Department of Sports Science and Health Education i nvites applicants for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor in Physical Education Teacher Education for the 202 6 - 20 2 7 academic year . The department seeks a dynamic candidate with expertise in Physical Education Teacher Education and Health Education, committed to teaching excellence. The selected candidate will: Teach a 6- 8 course load, consistent with departmental need and candidate training and interests . Courses may include foundations of physical education, elementary and secondary methods courses in physical education and health education, adapted physical education, movement education, as well as supervising practicum and student teaching experiences in K-12 school placements . Collaborate with the Education department regarding curriculum and licensure . The candidate will also be asked to network with local school districts and health educators. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: T erminal degree in Physical or Health Education , PhD or EdD preferred, Master’s degree in the field required .
