Speech Pathologist (Per Diem) - ( 260416-50022820 ) Purpose of Position : This position is responsible for providing diagnostic and treatment services for patients referred with speech, language, voice, fluency, swallowing and/or related disorders. The pathologist will assess, test, treat and evaluate children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients, recognizing age specific differences. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team in helping to restore function and in preventing disability. Description 1. Must be courteous to patients, visitors and employees. 2. Administers diagnostic testing procedures to determine the extent of patient's impairment and the prognosis for improvement. Identifies pertinent patient problems. (20%)E 3. Sets objective, measurable treatment goals incorporating patient's goal for functional outcome. Establishes a treatment plan based on patient needs and patient family input. (20%)E 4.
