Description We are looking to hire a highly motivated per diem MRI Technologist in Walnut Creek, California. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Perform MRI procedures on patients with a referral from a medical provider. - Explain MRI procedure to patients - Communicate with patient during MRI procedure - Capacity to follow ordering providers’ orders in conjunction with the Radiologist protocols - Sensitivity to the physical and psychological needs of the patients - Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task - Knowledge of safe MRI practice as outlined from the ACR - Submit images per ACR guidelines every four years for re-accreditation. - Comply with safety regulations involving the use of MRI to protect yourself, patients and other staff members. - Call in service for MRI equipment when needed - Conduct QA on MRI Equipment and keep accurate and up to date logs - Must have venipuncture license and the ability to inject contrast - Communicate STAT result to Radiologist - Follow-up on STAT results with referring provider - Knowledge of budget guidelines for ordering supplies - Attend staff meetings (may occur outside of office hours) - Maintain compliance with all company...
